The Two Brewers, The Maypole and The Retreat, all in Chigwell Row. This was back in the 60's and 70's, which was the hayday for The Retreat when half the West Ham team used to drink in there, particularly Mooro, Stag and Sealey, but was pulled down for redevelopment some years back.

Prince Albert, Plaistow. Then over the road to the Coach and Horses, as there were more birds in there.

If we were feeling flash we'd go up west - Tipples/Salmon and Ball, Befnal Green.

The Conqueror, Romford road, Manor Park.

Used to get a few WHU players in the side bar back in the early 70's. I remember seeing Bobby Moore, Hurst, Peters, even Jimmy Greeves if I remember right.
